VIRTUAL WORLD GAMES - SECONDLIFE, SINESPACE

In my previous posts, we talked about virtual reality and augmented reality and said that we can use them in our classrooms. Now we will talk about 3D virtual world games.
3D virtual games are the games in which you can interact with other people and explore new places. You can create avatars and places like homes, schools islands and many more.
They enhance language learning in the sense that they create a wonderful opportunity for students to interact with native speakers and practice language.
As teachers, we can also use these games to create virtual classrooms and teach from a distance. They are pretty useful in times such as pandemics like we are experiencing right now. Here is the virtual İstanbul University. This is created in SecondLife app, by one of my teachers; Dr. Tuncer Can who is an expert on educational technologies
