AUGMENTED REALITY - AR

Hello everyone!
In my last post, I gave you some information about Virtual Reality. In this post, I want to talk about AR which is Augmented Reality. We will talk about what it is and the differences between AR and VR.

AR combines real-world images, videos, objects with computer-generated worlds. The difference between AR and VR is this;
VR helps us to enter a completely new world. However, AR combines technology with the real world. It provides us real-time interaction and accurate 3D registration.

There are two types of AR. Markerless and Marker-based. In marker-based AR experiences, you need to have connecting pictures, flashcards, paper or book, etc but in markerless AR experiences, you don't need any of those.

<----- Marker-Based

Let's see how we can use AR in language education;
-Our students are the children of technology so these new tools and apps are very interesting for them. Usage of them will increase participation and interest in the lesson.
-It makes vocabulary acquisition easier.
-It enhances creativity

Here are some apps you can use to create AR;
*Augment -3D Augmented Reality,
*ARize
*UniteAR
*Blippar

For the AR I created using ARize, just scan the picture below;

Hope you try it! Until next time!
